Northern Lights has been a large part of what Moira and I have developed over the last few years to help develop talent for the creative and digital industries. With the demise of Vision+Media, and the lack of skills remit at its successor Creative England, we were thinking that the knowledge, expertise and format would be lost forever. But thankfully it hasn’t. A new initiative the green field has been developing with Econsultancy and Inspiring Interns – perhaps dubbed “southern lights” for us northerners – is to pilot this June in London.
Picking from the core content of Northern Lights, the week-long programme will set out to prepare new graduates with the digital and soft skills to perform to their full potential when interning, and hopefully provide employers with real added-value candidates, for full time roles.
